This article is a guide on using the Slidey Open Button app content block.
What is this feature?
This feature allows a store owner to add a button anywhere its supported in their section capable theme.
The button when clicked will open the Slidey Bar.
What is it for?
If you want to replace the floating side button and have a specialised button and associated text instead.
For example where you wish to add an button to your product template that says "Enquire Now" and then launches the Slidey Bar with .
Setting Up
Step 1: Navigate to your Theme Customisation Menu
- Within your Admin console click on the Sales channels menu
- Select the Online Store channel
- Click on the Themes menu option
- On your current theme, click on the Customize button to launch the Theme Customisation menu
Step 2: Add the App Block to your template
- Navigate to the template you want to add the button. In the example - the default product template
Do not add this block to the same section as the Slidey bar content - its meant to be used separately.
- Select the Add block option
- Within Apps list search for the text open and click on the Slidey Open Button to add
- The app block will now be added to your theme and you can drag and drop to change the ordering
- Once you have placed it - click the Save button in the top right of the Theme customisation menu
- The button is now ready to use or for further customisation
Step 3: Configure the App Block
The following settings are available to customise the app block. Simply click on the app block to begin.

Border Radius | Will round the corners of your button. Set to zero to keep square or inherit from your custom class settings | 0 |
Padding | Will create space between the button text and the outline. Set to zero to inherit from your custom class settings | 0 |
Custom CSS Class | Used to easily apply the same button styling as your current theme. Clear the defaults if you are creating a completely new look of button. | button btn |
It is recommended to remove the default button classes (button btn) from the Custom CSS Class field if you are customising the button style
